Jappa’s proposal: A person cannot be prime minister more than twice

The Jatiya Party (JPA) has proposed that a person should not serve more than two terms as Prime Minister. The party also proposed to balance the powers between the Prime Minister, the President, the National Assembly and the Executive. Apart from this, JAPA has proposed that no person can be the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Parliament at the same time.

On Saturday (August 31) in the afternoon, the chief adviser of the Interim Government in the State Guest House Yamuna. Japa leaders made these proposals in a meeting with Muhammad Yunus.

Japa’s delegation included party chairman GM Quader and senior leaders. Japa Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu briefed the journalists after the meeting.

Japa General Secretary said that the Chief Adviser gave the title of Hero Sena to those who were martyred and injured in the student movement. GM Quader has suggested to the chief adviser that a person should not hold the post of Prime Minister for more than two terms. Besides, it is not possible for any political party to reform on a large scale. Since you have the opportunity, you can make extensive renovations. The Jatiya Party will provide the time required to carry out these reforms.

Each party has presented reform proposals to the Chief Adviser, Mujibul Haque Chunnu said, adding that the system of centralizing power in the prime minister and creating a balance in this place, where autocracy originates, has been proposed.

He said that the elected government does not want to reform the country’s administration, judiciary and constitutional institutions. Our chairman said that people have unwavering support for the interim government. The people of the country expect you to do the work. There should be a balance between the powers of the President and the Prime Minister.

According to the constitution, Jatiya Party has participated in all the elections, the general secretary of the party said that the elected government often does not do the good things it is supposed to do.

Mujibul Haque Chunnu claimed that those who have come to power since the country’s independence have made more or less mistakes. He said, we have many mistakes. The necessary time will be given to the interim government.
