On Monday, September 3 at 3 p.m., the Faculty of Forest Sciences will host a talk by Dr. Miguel Pedro Guerra, professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil, with the main objective of addressing the challenges facing sustainability in the context of biodiversity and agriculture, considering planetary boundaries.

MISIONES (8/29/2024).- Within the framework of the 42nd Argentine Congress of Horticulture aimed at teachers and students of all undergraduate and graduate courses of the FCF, organized by the Laboratory of Vegetative Propagation, Conservation and Domestication of Plant Genetic Resources and no prior registration required, the talk “Biodiversity, agriculture and planetary limits: the challenges of sustainability and the role of appropriate biotechnologies in complex and uncertain scenarios” will be held on Monday, September 3 at 3:00 p.m.

The proposal will be led by Dr. Miguel Pedro Guerra (Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil).

The objective of this activity is to explore the challenges of sustainability in the context of biodiversity, agriculture and planetary boundaries, with a particular focus on the Paranaense Rainforest, and to analyze the role of appropriate biotechnologies in managing these challenges within complex and uncertain scenarios.

Dr. Guerra will focus in particular on the Paranaense Rainforest, exploring how appropriate biotechnologies can contribute to managing these challenges in an increasingly complex and uncertain environment.
