This week’s programme includes meetings in Rabat, Casablanca and Laayoune of a Zambian economic delegation with public institutions, private economic operators, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sectoral federations.

Meetings are also scheduled with the Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and its business ecosystem and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Laayoune.

This initiative is part of the actions that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad is implementing to support Morocco’s economic diplomacy on a continental scale, through the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) and its partners, such as the CGEM, the GPBM, CFC and the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), indicates a press release from the AMCI.

The same source emphasizes that these meetings aim to promote the development of win-win business partnerships between Moroccan operators and their Zambian counterparts.

The launch of this initiative was punctuated by a meeting between the Director General of AMCI, Mr. Mohamed Methqal and a large economic delegation from Zambia, visiting Morocco from June 20 to 28, with a view to strengthening economic relations between the two countries.

The meeting took place at the AMCI headquarters in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Rabat.

Chaired by Mr. Albert Halwampa, Director General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), the Zambian economic delegation is comprised of the President of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI), Mr. Anthony Kabaghe and several senior officials from the public and private sectors of the country.
