These projects concern four projects relating to the program to catch up on the deficit in basic infrastructure and social services, mobilizing an amount of more than 1.37 MDH, of which the contribution of the INDH is 100%, while the program to support people in precarious situations has mobilized a total amount of more than 27.56 MDH to support 84 projects, of which the contribution of the Initiative amounts to more than 18.31 MDH, specified the regional coordinator of the INDH and the head of the social action division (DAS) in the Wilaya of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Saleh Nafaa, on the occasion of a communication meeting organized Thursday to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the launch of the INDH.

These also include 158 projects relating to the program for improving the income and economic integration of young people (more than 25.57 MDH) whose contribution from the INDH is more than 18.38 MDH, as well as 41 projects inherent to the program relating to the boosting of the human capital of rising generations (more than 19.20 MDH), including a contribution from the INDH of approximately 18 MDH, he continued.

A total of 81 projects were supported in 2019 (over 18.9 MDH), of which the financial contribution of the INDH is estimated at 8.30 MDH, 34 projects in 2020 (over 9.51 MDH), 80 projects in 2021 (14.70 MDH), of which the contribution of the Initiative amounts to 11.43 MDH and 73 projects in 2022 (16.04 MDH), with a contribution from the initiative of over 14.22 MDH, specified the head of the DAS.

Similarly, 19 projects, having mobilized an investment of more than 14.55 MDH have been carried out until today for the year 2023, including a contribution of more than 12.58 MDH from the INDH, he added.

Speaking on this occasion, the Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, Governor of the Oued Eddahab province, Lamine Benomar stressed that the third phase of the INDH, which HM King Mohammed VI announced on September 19, 2018, is based on a renewed approach aimed at consolidating the achievements of the first and second phases of this Initiative, by paying particular attention to the promotion of human capital, rising generations, vulnerable categories and youth employment initiatives.

The Wali also praised the efforts made by the various stakeholders, including the local committees of the INDH, elected officials, heads of external services and associative actors, which have led to tangible results, stressing that they have interacted positively with the expectations of the target categories and the various programs of the INDH.

Mr. Benomar also called on all stakeholders to continue working and improving all interventions, through the diagnosis of needs, mastery of procedures and rationalization of resources, in order to achieve the expected objectives of the INDH.

On this occasion, the representative of the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Engineering Sciences, Youssef Ait Benhadda, gave a presentation on the “Oued Eddahab youth platform”.

In addition, two agreements were signed, the first of which concerns the transfer of preschool education units from the province of Oued Eddahab and set up within the framework of the third phase of the INDH to the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, while the second agreement, to which the INDH contributed 400,000 Dhs, concerns academic support for students who will take the standardized end-of-school exams and preparing them to facilitate their access to higher education establishments and institutes.
