“When we came to power, even the stretchers were privatized,” said the president. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in its sixth and final report of Governmentreferring to the rescue carried out in the Issste.
“Or as they said, subsidized, subrogated, all those words that were invented in the period neoliberal…The ISSSTE was rescued from corruption,” Lopez Obrador said this Sunday.
The federal president mentioned the Institute of Social Security and Services of State Workers (ISSSTE) to once again highlight their hard work in exterminating corruption.
“Now the Issste has returned to being an institution with integrated public services” and he highlighted that work was done on the de-privatization of the Institute “Because that other way of doing illicit or illegitimate business under the protection of public power has already disappeared. The use and management of so-called public-private partnerships has already disappeared. Currently, ISSSTE pharmacies fill 98.5% of medical prescriptions.”
He also highlighted the modernization works that have been carried out during his administration: “They have been rehabilitated 548 clinics and hospitals, and there are 10 new hospitals, six of which were built by us and four that we also acquired.”
