As is known, in the 2024 Mubar Pilkada, PDIP has given its support to the La Ode Darwin-Ali Basa pair.
Deputy Chairperson of the Election Winning Division of the Muna Barat PDIP DPC, La Ode Muh Wahyudin, admitted that he was disappointed with the decision of the PDIP DPP to take part in supporting the empty box and the party buying action carried out by the sole candidate for regent who is a cadre of another party.
“Meanwhile, in the last legislative and presidential elections, the single candidate and the Acting Regent of West Muna worked together and sided with other parties to win and increase seats in West Muna, including supporting the victory of Prabowo-Gibran,” said Wahyudin to reporters, Monday (2/9).
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson for Creative Economy, Digital Economy, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Habudi, added that the political party support given by the PDIP DPP to the single candidate had not yet seen all the aspirations of the cadres in West Muna.
As the winner of the election with 25% of the vote with a total of 5 seats out of 20 seats in the West Muna DPRD, PDIP should be able to support and nominate its own cadres to compete in the regent election.
“Efforts to win the election in West Muna this year were in vain, because with the party buying action carried out by a single candidate in the regional election in West Muna district, there were empty boxes and the PDIP of West Muna only became a spectator and supported other party cadres,” said Habudi.
According to Habudi, the acquisition of up to 25% of the votes by getting 5 seats in the West Muna DPRD was purely the result of the hard work of cadres who were raised at the grassroots level and were in direct contact with the community.
