The MoI wants to invest this funding until August 30, 2026. The Ministry of the Interior explains that the purpose of the investment is to develop a unified approach to continuing education in the field of health care, as well as to develop a simulation approach in the health care education system.

Beneficiaries of the funding would be medical institutions and higher education institutions implementing healthcare education programs.

Considering that the Cabinet of Ministers (MK) has not reached an agreement on the approval of the Human Resources Development Strategy, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) urges the Ministry of Finance (FM) to make amendments to the plan of the Recovery Fund in order to extend the deadline for the approval of this strategy until the second quarter of 2025.

At the same time, in accordance with the limited implementation period of the Recovery Fund plan, as well as in order not to delay the acquisition of the fund’s funding, the Ministry of the Interior proposes to determine the recipients of the aforementioned funding in accordance with the Human Resources Development Strategy project.

Investments until 2026 are planned to be made both in clinical university hospitals in the amount of 479,999 euros, as well as in the development of simulation infrastructure improvement in regional hospitals in the amount of 1,120,000 euros.

On the other hand, it is planned to allocate 400,000 euros to the Medical Education Technology Center of Paul Stradins Clinical University Hospital for this purpose.

In general, the planned amount of investment is estimated at 3,630,000 euros. It consists of funding from the Recovery Fund in the amount of three million euros, as well as funding from the state budget – 630,000 euros.

The government will see the report of the Ministry of Interior on September 3.
