Honey Singh is a popular Indian rapper. He was married to Shalini Talwar in his personal life. But this family did not last. The couple officially separated in 2022.
Honey Singh never talked about the reason for the divorce even though there was a lot of talk about the divorce. In a recent interview with Lalontop, the singer explained the reason for the breakup.
Honey Singh said of this conversation, ‘At that time our relationship was not very good. I used to travel a lot, which caused distance between us. Our relationship was good for the first 9-10 months of marriage. But then success and fame started to creep into my head. When this happened, I neglected my family and completely lost myself in money-fame, addictions and women. I did a terrible job. I left Shalini and almost forgot my family.’
Several influential personalities of Bollywood pushed Honey Singh towards drugs. Without mentioning anyone’s name, the ‘Blue Eyes’ singer said, “They used to tell me, ‘Hey, you can drink.’ But see if it does! Didn’t understand anything after consuming it for the first few times. But after that I became addicted.”
In 2022, Shalini Talwar accused Honey Singh of sexual harassment, emotional abuse and financial abuse. Later filed a lawsuit. Shalini demanded Rs 20 crore compensation from this singer. Later their divorce was finalized in the Saket District Court of Delhi. After finalizing the divorce with Shalini, Honey Singh handed over a check of one crore rupees to Shalini.
