Colombian Luis Díaz, Liverpool’s standout player in their visit to Manchester.

Luis Díaz reported this Sunday on the Premier League networks in Liverpool’s victory (3-0) over Manchester United as visitors. Both teams are part of one of the most important rivalries in English football, and the Colombian was the star on this occasion.
In the 35th minute, Dutchman Ryan Gravenberch saw Mohamed Salah arriving unmarked on the right flank and passed him the ball. The Egyptian delivered a cross that Díaz headed into the back of the net.

Not content with that, the player from La Guajira forced a mistake from Casemiro in the 42nd minute and regained possession. The Colombian partnered again with Salah, who returned the ball to him, and when he entered the box, he extended the lead with a low shot to the near post.
With his two goals against the Red Devils, Lucho reached three goals this season. The Guajira native scored against Brentford last week. In that match, which ended 2-0 in favor of the Reds, he was also a standout, providing an assist in addition to scoring.

In the second half, Salah (55th minute) extinguished any hope Manchester United had of a comeback. The Egyptian received a pass from Dominik Szoboszlai and made it 3-0. He has three goals this season and the Mancunians are among his favorite victims.
Luis Díaz left the field in the 66th minute. The traveling Liverpool fans at Old Trafford sent him off with applause. The Guajira native will travel in the coming days to join the Colombian national team, which will play in the South American qualifiers next week.
With this Sunday’s victory, the Reds reached nine points (a perfect score) and climbed to second place in the Premier League. Manchester City, with the same points and goal difference, is the league leader for scoring the most goals.
