Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has returned from Singapore after a health checkup. As soon as he arrived, his political activities have also intensified. Lalu’s son and former Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, has announced Aabhar Yatra in Bihar from September 10. He is already busy with its preparations at his level, but now Lalu has also started working on his strategy for the success of his journey. RJD has called a meeting of all its MLAs and MLCs in Patna on September 4. Former candidates of the assembly have been invited to the meeting. The arrival of leaders in Patna has also started from today, Tuesday. Everyone has been informed about the meeting that everyone has been called to strengthen the organization. According to information coming from inside RJD, apart from Tejashwi’s Aabhar Yatra, the core agenda of the assembly elections to be held next year will be discussed. Lalu will tell everyone on which issues the election atmosphere has to be created.
RJD has decided two big issues
According to the information that is coming out, apart from other issues, only two big issues can create an election atmosphere. These issues also suit RJD and all the parties included in India Block. The first big issue among these is caste census. Although this work has been done in Bihar, so it cannot be called a big issue, but in the national perspective it can create a long-term effect. Congress has also been vocal about caste census. Lalu considers himself to be the first among those demanding caste census. Tejashwi Yadav has also started saying that Lalu Prasad Yadav was the first to demand caste census.
Lalu got strength from RSS
RSS has also given strength to Lalu and other leaders of India Block by giving its consent on the question of caste census. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed its views on caste census on Monday. Sunil Ambekar, the All India Publicity Chief of the Sangh, said that caste census is a sensitive matter. It should not be used for political or electoral purposes. It should be used for the upliftment of backward communities and castes with the intention of welfare. No step should be taken without any consensus in the direction of sub-classification of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. This opinion of RSS is a support to the demand of the opposition. It is natural for Lalu to be excited by this. Therefore, Lalu wants to keep the issue alive until the central government agrees on this issue.
Caste census and reservation are big issues
Lalu will instruct the party leaders to make caste census and the ban on the increased reservation limit in Bihar an issue in the meeting on Wednesday. The central government has already refrained from conducting caste census citing certain reasons. If the central government decides to conduct caste census due to RSS coming in favour of caste census, then Lalu and the opposition leaders will try their best to cash in on it in the elections by calling it their victory. Since Nitish Kumar has already got this work done in Bihar, it remains to be seen whether Tejashwi will be able to take advantage of it or not. After the caste survey in Bihar, the reservation limit was increased to 65 percent. The court has put a stay on it. RJD will blame Nitish Kumar and the Narendra Modi government for this. They will say that being anti-reservation, the Modi government did not consider Nitish Kumar’s request to include it in the Ninth Schedule. Despite this, Nitish remains an ally of the BJP.
Increase in crime will also be an issue
In recent times, he has been uploading crime statistics in Bihar on his ‘X’ handle. By doing this, he wants to erase the stain of jungle raj on RJD. Therefore, he will go around telling people that NDA people defame RJD without any reason. Now RJD is not in power. Then why is crime out of control? Tejashwi will also raise the issue of corruption of officers loudly.
