The Attorney General’s Office announced the identification of those involved in the murder of the Commander of the Naval Academy, Major Sailor Abdul Rahman Salem Milad, known as “Al-Bidja”.

According to a statement from the office, the investigation authority succeeded in identifying the two suspects in committing the incident following the news of the killing of “Al-Bidja” while passing through the road linking the city of Tripoli and the city of Zawiya.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office employed technical methods in managing the procedures for searching for evidence and clues aimed at proving the elements of the incident and the circumstances surrounding it, and clarifying the identities of those involved in committing it.

The investigation resulted in identifying the motor vehicle used to facilitate the perpetrators’ arrival to and departure from the scene of the murder. The investigating authority also found the weapon suspected to have been used by the perpetrators in carrying out the crime’s elements, as well as identifying two suspects.

The Public Prosecution ordered their arrest and directed the components of the Ministry of Interior to enforce this measure.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, mourned the commander of the Naval Academy, Major Sailor Abdul Rahman Salem Milad, known as “Al-Bidja.”

Dabaiba announced, via his account on the “X” platform, that he had assigned the Ministry of Interior and the relevant authorities to open an urgent investigation into the incident of targeting him.

Al-Dabaiba said that the deceased had made commendable efforts to rehabilitate the Naval Academy and graduate new batches from it after a hiatus that lasted more than a decade, in addition to his constant efforts for reconciliation and reconciliation in his city of Zawiya, and he offered his condolences to his family, his city, and his fellow officers of the Naval Academy.

On Sunday, unknown gunmen assassinated the commander of the Naval Academy, Abdul Rahman Milad, known as “Al-Bidja,” after targeting his car with a hail of bullets.
