jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Special Committee (Pansus) of the DPR Hajj Inquiry found allegations of “games” between the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) and travel agents in managing the plus Hajj quota.

The finding of alleged manipulation of the Hajj quota was conveyed by a member of the Hajj Special Committee from the PKB Faction of the DPR, Marwan Jafar, after the Hajj Inquiry Special Committee summoned a number of travel companies that work with the Ministry of Religion.

Marwan explained that the findings involved PT Al Bayan Permata Ujas, PT Makassar Toraja, PT Albilad Universal, and PT Arminareka Perdana.

He explained that in the implementation of the 2024 Hajj, it was known that many pilgrims had just registered before the Hajj without having to wait long, but could immediately depart for the holy land.

On the other hand, there are many other pilgrims who have been waiting for decades, but have not been able to depart. In fact, there are pilgrims in certain areas whose waiting list has reached 45 years.

Marwan said that PT Aminareka Perdana, for example, in the implementation of the 2024 Hajj, dispatched 1,193 non-regular Hajj pilgrims including Hajj officers.

If combined with the congregation registered with PT Resi Nunggal Lestari, the total is 1,965 congregations.

He said that of that number, there are 17 people who just registered in 2024 who can immediately depart. While those who registered in 2023, a total of around 169 can depart in the 2024 hajj season.
