Avi Toubiana is the director of Berlin Jewish Culture Days. After October 7, 2023 and its consequences, you think about quitting.

Mr. Toubiana, the last Jewish Cultural Days ended just two weeks before the attack by Hamas on Israel. How did you experience these pogroms?
After the traditional days were over, my wife Diana and I flew to Israel for a few days and we returned to Berlin just before the attacks. It took our shoes off, not only what happened there, but how many people in Germany did it. I’m not sure if it makes sense to continue traditional dates.
