After the match, the head coach of Žalgiris, Andrea Trinchieri, named what he did not like in the game of his students.
“We avoided injuries, shared the minutes, played a great first half of the match. There was rhythm, intensity, energy. The third quarter was very bad, the fourth was not bad. I think this is something we still have to work on. We have to try to play our basketball for the whole 40 minutes. Maybe it’s natural in this season, but I didn’t like it. My job is to make it happen as little as possible,” said the Italian.
As expected, Žalgiris used a wide rotation where all players had opportunities to perform.
Team captain Edgaras Ulanovas spent the longest time on the court (20:16 minutes), while Ignas Brazdeikis, who got the least time to appear, played 09:41 minutes.
“It helps to keep the energy at a high level,” said A. Trinchieri. – I liked that when Lukas Lekavičius and Laurynas Birutis lost their rhythm and had a worse section, they continued to play and found good episodes in the next outing. As in official matches, everyone needs to be ready. I like when players are able to change the course of their game.”
