Shaheen Afridi holds world record in PSL

Karachi: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi has set a world record by defeating Lahore Quilanders in the Pakistan Super League. The 21-year-old Afridi holds the record for the youngest captain to win a T20 League title. Afridi won the Lahore title by defeating Multan Sultans by 42 runs in the final.

With this, Shaheen Afridi has surpassed the record set by former Australian captain Steve Smith, who won the Sydney Sixers at the age of 22 in the 2012 Big Bash League.

Lahore’s Mohammad Hafeez (65) and Harry Brook (65) put on 180 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Multan Sultans were all out for 138 in 19.3 overs. Afridi, who took three wickets for 30 runs in four overs, was the star bowler.
