Shahin Hawladar (45), who was injured in the student-Ansar clash while Ansar members were protesting in front of the capital’s secretariat, died. He is a rent-a-car driver by profession.
He died on Wednesday (September 4) at around eight o’clock in the morning while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMH).
Mohammad Farooq, in-charge of DMK Police Camp, said that the body has been kept in the morgue of Dhaka Medical Emergency Department for autopsy. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
It is to be noted that Shahin Hawladar was seriously injured by a stick while fighting back the students of the anti-discrimination student movement with Ansar members in front of the secretariat at around 9:30 pm on August 25. Later he was brought to Dhaka Medical in an injured state. He was being treated there.
The deceased’s son Mohammad Vishal said, “My father has a rent-a-car office in front of the secretariat, he used to drive there. On the day of the incident, at around 9:30 PM, my father was seriously injured by the sticks of Ansar during the clash between the students and the protesting Ansar members in front of the secretariat. Later he was admitted to Dhaka Medical.
Shaheen Howladar is a resident of South Bazikar of Mongla police station in Bagerhat district. His father’s name is Sobhan Howlader.
