Covid, infections are decreasing: data from last week

12,876 new cases of Covid were registered in Italy from August 29 to September 4, down compared to 15,221 in the period 22-28 August (approximately -15%). Deaths are also decreasing, which last week was 75 compared to 135 in the previous week (-44%). These are data from a new bulletin released by the Ministry of Health.

Compared to the 89,228 swabs made (down from 94,171 in the last survey), the positivity rate dropped to 14.4%, 1.8 percentage points less than 16.2% of 22-28 August.
