Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan has called upon everyone to be united against the conspiracy of the fallen dictatorship.
He said, Awami League has been in power for a long time and has brutally oppressed the people of the country. But, they were not saved, but had to leave shamefully like in the past. Their conspiracy is not over yet. All must be united against the conspiracies of the fallen dictatorship.
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the Ward Responsible Assembly organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan North Committee at Engineers Institution Auditorium in the capital on Friday (September 6).
Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, Awami fascism wanted to stop the anti-discrimination student movement by shooting. But, the struggling students did not allow their conspiracy to succeed, but ended the 15 and a half years of oppression by shedding fresh blood on the streets. Therefore, all must work in unison to make the victory meaningful and sustainable while respecting the martyrs.
Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Committee chaired by Amir Muhammad Salim Uddin and Central Working Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Secretary Dr. Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim spoke as a special guest in the rally moderated by Muhammad Rezaul Karim. Abdur Rahman Musa, a member of the Central Working Council and Naib Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Engineer Golam Mostafa, a member of the Shura in the Central Majlis and Naib Amir of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Mahfuzur Rahman, a member of the Shura in the Central Majlis and Assistant Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Nazim Uddin Molla and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, Salah Uddin, president of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Dhaka Metropolitan West, and members of the Working Council of Dhaka Metropolitan North.
On December 29, 2008, there was no election in the country, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan claimed that Awami League was brought to power by rigging the election through conspiracy and compromise. The truth of this statement has been found from the confession of late Abdul Jalil, the former general secretary of Awami League. The subsequent history is unknown. Through the 2014 one-sided farce and farce elections, the 2018 night polls and the 2024 election, they completed the sixteen arts of axing their power. But, they could not give good governance to the country. The economic sector was completely blighted by rampant corruption and looting.
He said, Jamaat-e-Islami wants to establish a humane and just society on the basis of justice. In order to make this work dynamic and pioneering, self-purification and piety should be done in the service of the people. In this case, all incumbents have no choice but to acquire leadership qualities. They should study more Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature to improve their qualifications. For a successful revolution in the country, expansion of dawati activities is the biggest demand of the hour. The way of Deen Qayyam will be widened only if Dawat reaches every house. For success, we should pray to God through Tahajjud and Nafal Ibadah, seeking God’s help. You should fall down in prostration in private. Only then will Allah make us victorious.
Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan urged the officials to be more active and dedicated for a successful revolution.
In the speech of the special guest, Maulana Abdul Halim said, the main mantra of the student movement was the establishment of justice. Therefore, respecting the blood of hundreds of martyrs, we have to work unitedly to establish a just society. Due respect should be shown to the martyrs. There is no opportunity to allow new discrimination.
He urged the ward officials to be ready for any sacrifice to establish a just society in the country.
In the president’s speech, Mohammad Selim Uddin said that the martyrs in the recent movement are our national heroes and best children. Therefore, it is in the national interest that martyrs should be given due respect. Appropriate efforts should be made to find out the family of the martyrs and solve their problems.
