The head of the NASA manned program, Kathy Lueders, said that the situation in Ukraine did not affect the cooperation between NASA and Roscosmos – it continues in working mode.
At a press conference that took place, Lueders told reporters the following: “Our interaction is proceeding normally, we continue to monitor the situation … specialists meet every day to make sure that our partners in Russia are working normally.”
The head of the NASA manned program also recalled that the American and Russian space agencies have already gone through such difficult situations and overcame them professionally. At the heart of this, in particular, is that NASA understands that good relations are necessary to continue working together on the International Space Station and specialists from the US space department continue to monitor the situation.
