Member of the BNP Standing Committee and convener of the party’s relief collection committee Professor Dr. AZM Zahide Hossain said that despite the fall of the dictatorial Hasina government in the student movement on August 5, the deep conspiracy against the country continues.
He said, you can understand how the conspiracy is happening only if you listen to the speeches of the big leaders of the neighboring countries. Every citizen who believes in the independence and sovereignty of the country should come forward to counter the conspiracy.
He said these things after collecting relief from activists from various districts in Nayapaltan of the capital on Saturday (September 7) afternoon.
Dr. Zahid said that the defeated forces of the students are not sitting down. They are making various plots at home and abroad. They still have their people in all sectors of administration. I will tell the current interim government, take action on them.
Highlighting the relief assistance program of BNP, he said that we have continued the relief program among the flood victims for 14 days under the guidance of the acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman. So far we have delivered relief aid worth more than 14 crore rupees.
He said, numerous people including BNP and organ organization leaders, school college students, housewives, rickshaw pullers, working people, expatriate brothers and sisters have helped our relief fund. We will assist them in their rehabilitation in the next few days. They will be supported by their team in various ways including construction of houses, agricultural work, supply of seeds.
Stating that the disease is spreading in the flood-affected areas, he said, our doctors along with DAB, Ziaur Rahman Foundation have formed a medical team and continued medical services there.
At this time, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Abdus Salam, Joint Secretary General Adv. Abdus Salam Azad, volunteer affairs secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Sapu, research affairs secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Juba Dal’s Rezaur Karim Paul, volunteers’ Dr. Zahidul Kabir and other members of the relief collection committee were present.
