Beijing: AMSSNuR DG meets with Chinese Vice Minister of National Nuclear Safety Administration
Beijing – The Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security (AMSSNuR), Said Mouline, recently met in Beijing with the Chinese Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment and in charge of the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), Dong Baotong.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the implementation of the cooperation agreement previously signed between AMSSNuR and NNSA, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of nuclear safety and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two countries, said a statement from AMSSNuR published on its website.
On this occasion, Mr. Mouline highlighted the importance of this collaboration for the development of technical capacities and the establishment of best practices in nuclear regulation in Morocco, expressing the wish that the implementation of the initiatives planned under the agreement be accelerated, in order to maximize the mutual benefits of this strategic partnership, notes the press release.
For his part, Mr. Baotong reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Morocco in its efforts to strengthen nuclear safety, stressing the mutual benefits of this partnership and expressing his satisfaction with the direction taken by this collaboration, according to the same source.
This meeting marked an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between Morocco and China, and opened new perspectives for future joint projects aimed at ensuring the peaceful and secure use of nuclear energy, the statement concluded.
