Bhoopan Pathikar, who was selling peanuts on a bicycle in a village called Kuraljuri in West Bengal, became a worldwide trend on social media with his song ‘Kacha Badam’. He was driving his vehicle in his home state of West Bengal when the vehicle unexpectedly collided with a wall. He was admitted to the hospital following the accident. He was treated with first aid for a minor facial injury and was discharged shortly thereafter.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. After the song ‘Kacha Badam’, he has now changed from a peanut trader to a photographer and has said that he will leave the peanut business and become a full time singer. It has also been reported that he will be working on a song with Saurav Ganguly.
