The incident occurred late Thursday afternoon (5/9). An ambulance was immediately notified and arrived from the Health Center of Amfiklia, transferring the toddler to the General Hospital of Lamia.
There, the doctors assessed his condition as very serious and tried to stabilize him in order to transfer him to a specialized Children’s Hospital in Athens. According to lamiareport.gr, he was intubated and it was deemed necessary for him to be accompanied by an anesthesiologist from the ICU.
