Fans were shocked to learn that former captain Virat Kohli was not allowed to play in the 100th Test.

The first Test between the two teams starts in Mogali next Friday. This is the 100th Test match of former captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli is set to become the 71st player and the 12th Indian to achieve this feat internationally.
While fans are expected to be allowed in this Test match, the BCCI has said that fans will not be allowed in due to corona infection precaution. The Indian team has been playing without fans in recent times. However whether he is a cinema hero or a cricketer, fans will always want to act in front of him. Virat Kohli, who also captained the Indian team in all three forms of cricket, would have loved to see the 100th Test match played in front of fans.
As such, the 100th Test match is very, very special to one. It disappoints me that fans are not allowed in there in such a situation. Even if the BCCI had taken this decision, the decision of the BCCI would have been disappointing for Virat Kohli and his fans. However, the decision was taken in the light of the situation in Mogali.
Gavaskar also said that he expects Virat Kohli to play well in the tournament. At the same time, 50 per cent of the spectators have been allowed to play in the 2nd Test in Bangalore. Fans have been commenting that the BCCI is seeking revenge for Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match due to a captaincy issue.
