Russia-Ukraine Crisis: 53 more Malayalee students return from Ukraine A total of 47 people arrived at Delhi airport today and six at Mumbai airport. With this, the total number of Malayalee students returning to the country through the ‘Operation Ganga’ rescue mission has increased to 184.

The 47 Malayalee students arrived in New Delhi this afternoon on two Indigo flights from Bucharest and Budapest. Of these, 11 will be repatriated via Kannur Airport, 20 via Kochi Airport and 16 via Thiruvananthapuram Airport today.

On the first day of the rescue mission, on February 27, 57 and on the second day 48 Malayalee students arrived in New Delhi. The Air India flight from Bucharest will arrive in Delhi at 9.20 pm tonight. There are Malayalee students in this plane too. So far 152 Malayalee students have returned through Delhi Airport.

Under the leadership of the State Government, the process of transporting students arriving in Delhi to Kerala on the basis of availability of air tickets is progressing rapidly. The 36 students who arrived in New Delhi on Monday evening were rested at Kerala House and returned home today. 25 people arrived in Kochi on the Vistara flight at 5.35 am and 11 on the Vistara flight at 8.45 am to Thiruvananthapuram.

So far, 32 people have returned via Mumbai airport. Six Malayalee students arrived on an Air India Express flight from Bucharest to Mumbai airport at 7.30 am today. Of these, three were repatriated on an Indigo flight to Thiruvananthapuram and two on an Indigo flight to Kochi. One is a Malayalee student settled in Mumbai. On February 27, 26 students had returned via Mumbai.

The state government has announced that a team of state government officials is working 24 hours a day at both airports to coordinate the activities of Malayalee students arriving in New Delhi and Mumbai until they reach their homes in Kerala.

So far 135 students have reached Kerala. Of these, 41 arrived at Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi airports today alone. Tickets to the nearest airport to each person’s home country are sent home based on availability. Tickets from Mumbai and Delhi are borne by the state government.

A special control room has been set up at the New Delhi Airport under the leadership of the Liaison Section of the Kerala House. At the Mumbai Airport, the activities are being coordinated under the leadership of the NORKA Division of the Mumbai Kerala House. Norca Routes officials have also been deployed to oversee the travel of students arriving in Kerala.
