The big day came, when the Kosdi babies born in one year (08/01/2023 – 07/31/2024) were celebrated and greeted. Every year for a quarter of a century, they celebrate the future generations, the babies born in one year.
Why was this day created?
In order to increase the number of children, this day was organized by the municipality. 25 years ago, mayor Ferenc Borovits and his team at the time dreamed up this wonderful initiative. With which they try to “lure” young families with small children to the village.
Bence Rétvárí, the parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, the region’s parliamentary representative, state secretary Zsófia Koncz, all three church leaders, mayor Ferenc Kurdi, former mayor Ferenc Borovits were among the guests at the famous event.
Highlighting some of the speakers’ sentences:
For a small child, only the parental background that provides emotional security matters. The concept of family in Europe is already starting to take on a different meaning, but we must not follow this trend in Hungary. It is natural for a family to have two parents, the father and the other, who love and respect each other and raise their children into healthy adults.
A huge crowd came to the Baby’s Day held every year, considering the number of newly born babies and their family members. The babies celebrated 25 years ago, who are now 25 years old, were also invited. At that time (25 years ago), this number was still minimal.
Quoted from pastor Attila Meláth: We hope that next year, not 30, but 35 babies will be born. Although this is a high number of children, it will present a great challenge to the municipality.
In connection with the quarter-century anniversary, a tree was also planted, and next to it was a time capsule, in which the Baby’s Day events of 25 years ago, the list of newly born babies, and the names of the employees of the current municipality were placed.
The initiative should be followed, as our common future is in our children.
