In a statement to MAP, the provincial delegate of National Mutual Aid in Chefchaouen, Mouad El Hor, stressed that the operation “Ramadan 1444” is taking place in good conditions, thanks to the supervision of the provincial commission, composed of representatives of provincial and local authorities, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, in addition to the contribution of the social services of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), National Promotion and National Mutual Aid.
The official specified that the provincial commission has opted this year for two distribution points in Chefchaouen, namely the Massira Khadra Center on Mohammed V Square, and the social complex in the El Hafa district, in order to facilitate the operation of distributing food aid.
He said that this operation targets the most deprived categories, including widows, divorcees, people with disabilities and elderly people without income, noting that the number of beneficiary families in Chefchaouen has doubled this year, from 9,000 to more than 18,000 spread across all the territorial municipalities of the province.
Organized with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, this national operation has become over time an annual event aimed at providing help and comfort to the most vulnerable social categories, in particular widows, the elderly and people with disabilities.
