The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through iNNpulsa Colombia and in alliance with the Chamber of Commerce of Cali, has completed five Zasca Reindustrialization Centers in the Valle del Cauca. With these spaces, 1,100 MSMEs and productive units of the popular economy of the region will benefit over the next two years.
In this regard, Alexandra Rizo, director of MSMEs of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, highlighted that “our objective with these five Zasca Reindustrialization Centers is to accompany and technically assist MSMEs that can generate better commercial and productive opportunities in order to impact key sectors of the economy of Valle del Cauca, mainly agroindustry and manufacturing, which are fundamental productive vocations for the region and for the country. In this way, we want to enlist these companies for associativity, productivity and sustainability, further promoting the industrial development of this department.

These are two manufacturing centers in Cali, two more with a vocation for agroindustry in the municipalities of Zarzal and Florida, and one focused on the appropriation of technologies in Cali, which have an investment of $7,593 million.
According to Hernán Ceballos Gacharná, general manager of iNNpulsa Colombia – Colombia Productiva, “with these Zasca Reindustrialization Centers, we are contributing to the business and productive strengthening of entrepreneurs and SMEs in the department, through technical assistance, access to new technologies and specialized machinery to add value to their products and become more competitive in the market.”
The Cali Chamber of Commerce is the main ally in the region of the Zasca strategy. Regarding the entry into operation of these spaces in the department, the executive president of the chamber entity, Luis Fernando Pérez, said that “they represent a milestone for our region and with them, we are consolidating our commitment to work for a more competitive, sustainable region with social impact. Thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, iNNpulsa Colombia.”
