Just a few days before her award presentation for Best Performance at the Venice Film Festival 2024, Nicole Kidman lost her mother.
The Australian-American Nicole Kidman won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival 2024 for a role that upends her glamorous image in the film “Babygirl,” a new generation erotic thriller.
However, the famous actress was not present at the awards ceremony to accept her prize, and a message from her was read instead. In it, the 57-year-old actress revealed that she was absent because she had to confront and manage the loss of her mother.
“I learned shortly after arriving in Venice of the death of my mother, Janelle Kidman. I am in shock and need to be with my family. This award is for her,” she wrote in her message.
