A report by the Israeli research institute INSS found that there are an average of 2,090 anti-Israel protests worldwide each month, while there are only about 65 pro-Israel demonstrations.
In terms of the number of protests against Israel, Yemen ranks first, with 5,500 protests recorded, followed by the United States with 3,500 protests, as well as Morocco, Turkey and Iran.
The United States also topped the list of countries for the number of pro-Israel rallies, with 317, followed by France with 108 demonstrations, as well as Germany, Canada and Australia.
Earlier, Cursor reported that anti-Israel demonstrations took place on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Semitic slogans such as “Long live the intifada” and “Globalization of the intifada.” These slogans referred to the periods of Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israelis in the late 1980s, early 1990s, and early 2000s.
The protest was organized by the pro-Palestinian student group Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine. Near the demonstration, a pro-Israel sign was set up with the words “Hamas kills, kidnaps, rapes,” The Boston Globe reports.
Harvard has been one of the sites of anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian protests that have spread across American college campuses since the Gaza war, which erupted after Hamas attacked southern Israel on Oct. 7. In June, a Harvard task force concluded that Israeli students on campus were experiencing “horrible” alienation.
Harvard has come under fire from Jewish circles since its president, Claudine Gay, resigned in January following a congressional hearing where she did not take a clear position on whether “calls for genocide of Jews” violated the university’s code of conduct.
Earlier, Cursor reported that Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz expressed support for anti-Israel demonstrators.
