On the 9th (local time), updated versions of the “Apple Watch Series 10” and “Apple Watch Ultra 2” were announced.
The Apple Watch Series 10 features a display area that is 30% larger compared to previous models, allowing for more content such as messages to be displayed.
It utilizes wide-angle OLED technology, which makes it 40% brighter, enabling easy visibility of the second hand even from a sideways glance when the wrist is lowered.
The thickness has been reduced to 9.7mm, making it 10% thinner and lighter. The battery can now be charged to 80% in just 30 minutes.
WatchOS has been updated to version 11, featuring a new translation app and a sleep app that can detect sleep apnea.
The price starts at ¥59,800 for the GPS model and ¥75,800 for the GPS and cellular model. Pre-orders are available starting today.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 was introduced instead of a Series 3, with the update also adding new color variations. It can be used like a cycle computer and supports offline maps; it operates without an iPhone, while retaining all major functionalities of the Apple Watch.
This year, a collaboration band with Hermès will also be launched.
The starting price is ¥128,800. Pre-orders begin today, with release scheduled for September 20.
More details will be provided later.
