The construction of an anti-noise wall has started along the Vidzeme highway near the village of Gauja /

LVC informs that mainly the works will take place on the side of the road and traffic will not be delayed, however, traffic could be restricted in the right lane for certain works. Driving speed in the section will not change and will be 70 kilometers per hour.

At the beginning of the works, the technical means of the traffic organization will be deployed and the roadside will be prepared for the construction of the concrete foundations of the anti-noise wall. Almost two kilometers long, a noise wall will be built in a combined system on the foundations of reinforced concrete blocks. A reinforced concrete protective barrier will be installed along the wall along the entire section. The height of the wall will be 3.5 to 4.5 meters.

It is planned that the works will continue until the end of the year.

Construction works are carried out by SIA “Tilts” for 2.374 million euros including value added tax (VAT), but the project was developed by SIA “Projekts EAE”. Construction supervision is provided by AS “Ceļuprojekts”.

The project is implemented in accordance with the action plan for noise reduction on national highways and the solutions provided therein.

LVC was established at the end of 2004 and is owned by the state. The company manages the national highway network, administers the financing of the national highway network and organizes procurement for the needs of the state. LVC manages more than 20,000 kilometers of national roads.
