Cheongdo-gun is hosting a Chuseok Chuseok Experience Yard event at the Cheongdo Museum. Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) Museum will host the 2024 Chuseok “Chuseok Experience Yard” in front of the museum for two days from September 14th to 15th to celebrate the upcoming Chuseok.

This event was planned so that museum visitors can enjoy a happy Chuseok holiday with their family, relatives, and friends through various cultural experiences including folk games such as tug-of-war, jegichagi, and seesaw.

It consists of various experiential programs such as making traditional knot wind chimes, making water transfer glass cups, making neon sign lights, and making moon rabbit moru dolls.

All programs are free to participate in on-site without separate reservations and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In particular, the Cheongdo Museum’s special exhibition hall is receiving rave reviews from visitors, offering an opportunity to see the outstanding works of representative intangible cultural heritage holders in one place, including the white porcelain moon jar by Kim Yeong-sik, a potter, a ware maker, a hanji maker, a stone maker, and a tile maker. The exhibition runs from September 5 to September 22, and will be closed on September 17, the day of Chuseok.

Kim Ha-su, the governor of Cheongdo County, said, “I hope that this will be a valuable opportunity for visitors to Cheongdo and tourists celebrating Chuseok, a national holiday, to create precious memories and heal with their families, relatives, and friends through various events such as folk games, unique experience programs, and special exhibitions at the Cheongdo Museum.”
