They are fixing the markings and road signs around the schools for September 15
The preventive health card, which is presented in school and kindergarten before the beginning of each school year, should become digital. This is what Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev requested on Wednesday. And assigned the task to the ministries of health, education and e-governance.
Taking out the preventive health card becomes a big problem for parents, personal doctors and even teachers at the beginning of each school year, because it takes time and queues form in front of the offices.
“It is worth trying to reduce the large document turnover between parents, pediatricians and schools and reach the European level there,” motivated Glavchev.
The Ministry of Health is already working together with the National Health Information System on this matter, relevant changes will be made, later announced the line minister, Dr. Galya Kondeva. And he promised that the project would be implemented by the end of the year.
The regulation should be changed. And currently, through the outpatient sheets, which are electronic, there is information about preventive examinations, Kondeva reminded. The minister added that efforts will be made to digitize all types of notes. Absence excuses are currently electronic.
“We discussed the issue of the notes on the so-called contact diseases, which by changing an ordinance we can reduce, so that there is no constant going of parents to the doctor for sports, for a camp”, Kondeva also pointed out.
1,000 teams of the Road and Security Police will take care of the security of the first school day, which this year will be on September 16, Maria Boteva from the Road Police announced on Wednesday. She explained that the police have already checked all the schools and kindergartens in the country. Prescriptions have been drawn up for placing and renewing road signs and markings, the guardrails have also been examined so that children do not enter directly into the lane of traffic and to avoid the danger of being hit.
On September 16, Traffic Police cars will have their lights on. In this way, they will both support traffic and penalize violators. Even if not immediately, they will be called to the Ministry of Internal Affairs later, Boteva said. And he asked parents not to stop in front of pedestrian crossings, because they prevent drivers from seeing the children.
The action “Children are going to school, let’s keep them safe on the road” will start soon. Until the end of September, police officers will give lessons to children from 1st to 4th grade. Parent meetings will also be attended. For the older ones – from 5th to 12th grade, the program will be throughout the school year.
