Apple to Unveil iPhone 16 and Exciting Innovations at ‘It’s Glowtime’ Event on September 9

by time news

(CNN Español) – Apple will hold its next major event, where the launch of the iPhone 16 and other news is expected, this Monday, September 9th. The slogan this time will be “It’s Glowtime”.

Although it is a tradition for Apple to hold a conference to present new technologies and innovations in its products, one of the most anticipated announcements is the latest iPhone, which is expected to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI).

In June, the tech company announced a series of generative AI features for the iPhone at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, presenting the first batch of tools powered by “Apple Intelligence,” from customized Genmoji (Apple’s AI-generated emoji) to a significantly smarter Siri, which can answer questions about your schedule, what’s in your email, and what time your loved one’s flight lands.

Generative AI allows tools to create written works, images, and even audio in response to user prompts.

Apple is also expected to announce a partnership with ChatGPT creator OpenAI, which is facing scrutiny and challenges of its own.

The combination of Siri with OpenAI’s latest ChatGPT-4o model could allow the assistant to remember a photo taken years ago, provide more specific information, and possibly even learn the user’s preferences and personality over time.

Although iPhone 15 Pro Max users will likely be able to access at least some of the AI features, the upcoming iPhone 16 is expected to be the first device designed entirely with AI in mind.

Other expected announcements relate to devices such as Apple Watch, Airpods, Apple TV 4K, Vision Pro, and new processors, buttons, and features.

The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California, and will be streamed online on their official YouTube account.
