“This action of the three European countries is a continuation of the hostile policy and economic terrorism of the West against the Iranian people, against which the Islamic Republic of Iran will act accordingly and proportionately,” said the press representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani.
The three governments had said they would take steps to cancel air service agreements with Iran and were working to impose sanctions on Iran Air.
“In addition, we will continue to list significant organizations and individuals involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program and the transfer of ballistic missiles and other weapons to Russia,” Britain, France and Germany said.
Iran again denied that it had supplied weapons to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.
“Any claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran has sold ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation is completely baseless and false,” Kanani said.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Russia had received shipments of ballistic missiles from Iran and “will likely use them in Ukraine in a few weeks.”
He added that dozens of Russian military personnel in Iran have participated in training to work with the Fath-360 missiles, which have a range of 120 kilometers.
