Little Giannakis from PAOK sent his own message from America following the successful and lengthy surgical operation he underwent. The boy who touched the hearts of all Greeks, as a rare condition had left him confined to a wheelchair, now looks to the future with optimism.
Speaking to Alpha’s camera from his room at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital where he is hospitalized, he emphasized that his only goal is to be able to walk again.
“I am here today and I am getting ready to take big steps for my new life,” he stated to Alpha’s camera. “I thank all the Greeks who stood by me during this difficult time,” he added.

It is noted that the surgery little Giannakis underwent was related to selective dorsal rhizotomy, was particularly difficult, and is expected to eliminate the spasticity in his limbs. It is reminded that the expenses for this very challenging operation and the stay in the USA were covered by the management of PAOK.
