Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) They prevented a woman from jumping off an overpass located outside the Garibaldi-Lagunilla station on metro line B, in the Centro neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc municipality.
During surveillance activities, the uniformed officers were circulating on Eje Central and Ecuador avenues when they noticed the presence of a woman standing on the edge of said bridge, with possible intentions of throwing herself into the stream of vehicles, so they stopped their march to verify the situation.

After activating the protocols and generating an atmosphere of trust with the affected person, the police engaged in a conversation with her for several minutes and, using persuasion techniques, managed to calm her down and convince her to desist from her decision.
Personnel from the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squad (ERUM) went to the scene to stabilize the victim and determine her health status. Diagnosed as having multiple contusions, she did not require transfer to a hospital, so she remained there awaiting her relatives.

The agency reminded citizens not to hesitate to ask security forces for support in case of emergency.
