LiSA’s new song “QUEEN” has been chosen as the opening theme for the 1st cour of the 2nd season of the TV anime “Shangri-La Frontier,” which is scheduled to air every Sunday at 5 PM starting October 13 on MBS/TBS nationwide across 28 stations. A new artist visual has also been unveiled.

“Shangri-La Frontier” has achieved an unprecedented four crowns in reader surveys conducted by “Weekly Shōnen Magazine,” surpassing a total circulation of 10 million copies worldwide with its comic adaptation into a TV anime. The story is set in a slightly futuristic world where games that use displays have been categorized as retro games. In this world, the protagonist Sanraku, an enthusiastic “crap game hunter” who has dedicated himself to clearing “crap games” whose content has not kept up with the latest VR technology, challenges the “god game,” “Shangri-La Frontier,” with 30 million total players. The narrative promises a supreme “game x fantasy” adventure. The 1st season aired from October 2023 to March 2024, and the 2nd season will begin in October.

“QUEEN” features lyrics by MAQUMA (Vo) from FZMZ, who handled the opening theme for the 1st season, with music composition and arrangement by HONNWAKA88 (Ba). This collaboration unique to “Shanfu” is also something to look forward to.

The main promotional video for the 2nd season of the TV anime “Shangri-La Frontier” has also been released, showcasing parts of the song. In this PV, the opening theme “QUEEN,” sung by LiSA, adds vibrancy to Sanraku, Pencilgon, Oikatsuo, and other characters, who become the “eye of the storm”, drawing attention to their every move. Additionally, new characters like Akitsu Akane and mysterious new figures are shown, promising even more excitement and thrills in the upcoming 2nd season compared to the 1st season.
