San Sebastián Film Festival 2024 is here. This Sunday, September 15, the sale of tickets for Zinemaldia is open to the public with the usual interest made in thousands of residents of San Sebastian and film lovers who, hours before, had waited at 9:00 am to able to buy the first ticket from Zinemaldia.
Like every year, the opening show has gone hand in hand with people and online lines, which have been held both at the Kursaal ticket offices and almost. On the Internet, more than 7,000 people have gathered at the same time with the intention of getting one of the passes on sale, corresponding to the works that will be examined in the first three days of the festival.
At the moment, the norm is normal in the first hours of ticket sales, although some users have had to wait for about an hour in a virtual queue before being able to buy their tickets.
A celebration that will start next Friday, September 20 and will have an opening gala at 9:00 pm, directed by Andreu Buenafuente, Berto Romero and Bárbara Goenaga. At the opening gala, which will precede the world premiere of Emmanuelle, by Audrey Diwan, Javier Bardem will receive the Donostia Award that he could not receive last year due to the translators’ strike, and the Fipresci Grand Prize will be awarded to the film The Things Not proposed by Yorgos Lanthimos and will be presented to the Executive Committee.
This Sunday, September 15, tickets for the sessions of the first three days of the festival went on sale both at the Zinemaldia Plaza box office – the ground floor of the Kursaal – and at the window of the auditorium itself and through the the official website of the Festival and Kutxabank. On Monday, September 16, also at 9:00 am, tickets for the 23rd, 24th and 25th will be on sale and finally on Tuesday, September 17th, the purchase will be open for the 26th, 27th and September 28.
