The background to an unusual incident outside the Knesset plenum was in the wake of the wave of arrests of Yeshivat Chumash, when a shouting match began between members of religious Zionism and MK Nir Orbach on the right, accusing him of abandoning the yeshiva.
It started in the plenum, when during the votes on the law restricting the term of office, Orit Struck came to Bennett and Gantz and erupted towards them.
During the Semitic vote, Struck shouted: “Against. I am against you you are a bunch of zeros Orbach you are zero.” Dudi Amsalem from the Likud added: “Orbach, you are less than zero, you are nothing.” Orbach, for his part, answered them with shouts. At the end of one of the votes, the MKs went to rest outside the Knesset plenum, in what is known as the ‘horseshoe’, an area where only Knesset members and their aides are allowed to enter, and do not have Knesset cameras. .
Then a quarrel almost broke out between Rothman and Levy, with Rothman accusing him of bullying and violating authority. The guards had to separate and keep Rothman away, and in the commotion one of them was lightly injured in the hand and needed a bandage.
