The nationwide exams for General High Schools will start on May 30 and for Vocational High Schools on May 31, 2025.
The Ministry of Education announced today the detailed schedule of the nationwide exams for daytime and evening General High Schools (GEL) and Vocational High Schools (EPAL), Special and Music subjects, as well as the deadlines for the Health Examination and Practical Test for candidates applying to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA) for the year 2025.
The schedule for the nationwide exams for General High Schools
The nationwide exams for General High Schools will begin on May 30 with the subject of Modern Greek Language and Literature, followed by three days of exams for Orientation subjects, with the last being on Friday, June 6.

The starting time for exams is set at 08:30 a.m., which is common for candidates of both daytime and evening schools. Candidates must arrive at the examination rooms by 08:00 a.m. The duration of each subject examination is three hours.
The examined material and the exam questions are common for all candidates of daytime and evening General High Schools.
The schedule for the nationwide exams for Daytime and Evening Vocational High Schools
For Vocational High Schools, the exams will begin on May 31 with the subject of Modern Greek, continue with Mathematics (Algebra) on June 3, and from June 5 to 16, 2025, candidates will be examined in specialized subjects.

The starting time for exams is set at 08:30 a.m. Candidates must arrive at the examination rooms by 08:00 a.m. The duration of each subject examination is three (3) hours, except for the specialized subject: Architectural Drawing, for which the duration is four (4) hours.
The examined material and the exam questions are common for all candidates of daytime and evening Vocational High Schools.
The schedule for the Exams of Special and Music Subjects

Candidates must arrive at the examination rooms:
- by 08:00 a.m. for subjects with an exam time of 08:30 a.m.,
- by 09:30 a.m. for subjects with an exam time of 10:00 a.m.
The duration of the examination for the subjects:
- of foreign languages is three hours,
- of Drawings (Free and Linear) is six hours,
- for the musical subject “Musical Performance and Interpretation,” the examination of vocal or instrumental music lasts from 4 to 6 minutes per candidate,
- for the musical subject “Musical Perception, Theory, and Harmony,” the examination lasts a total of three (3) hours and 30 minutes.
The deadline for conducting the Health Examination and Practical Test for candidates (GEL and EPAL) for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA) for the academic year 2025-26 is set from Monday, June 16, 2025, to Friday, June 27, 2025.
