Reactions continued regarding the shooting near Republican presidential candidate, former US President Donald Trump, on Sunday, after the FBI suggested that it appeared to be a second assassination attempt on Trump while he was at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday he was shocked to hear about the possible assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.
Netanyahu wrote on his official account on the “X” platform, formerly Twitter: “Sara and I were shocked by the second assassination attempt against President Trump, and were relieved to hear that it also failed. But we must not rely on luck.”
Local police have arrested a suspect after shots were fired at the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
In turn, billionaire businessman Elon Musk commented on the shooting incident at former US President Donald Trump’s golf course in Florida.
In a post on his official account on the “X” platform, Musk said: “No one is trying to assassinate Biden and Harris.”
Musk’s comment that no one had tried to assassinate President Biden or Vice President Harris angered many who considered the statement “irresponsible.”

For her part, British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said on Monday that any political violence is shocking and expressed her pleasure at Donald Trump’s safety after what the FBI described as an assassination attempt on the former US president and candidate for the upcoming elections.
“It is appalling to see political violence. Violence should have no place in any political campaign,” Cooper told Sky News. “We are all pleased that the former president is safe and that this attempt, whatever it was, was not successful.”
