Redistribution of responsibilities of 3 Commissioners of BSEC

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the regulatory body of the capital market, has redistributed the duties of two newly appointed commissioners along with another commissioner. They are – Md. Mohsin Chowdhury, Md. Ali Akbar and Farzana Lalarukh.

Last Sunday (September 15) BSEC Chairman Khandkar Rashed Maksud signed an office order redistributing the official duties of three commissioners. It will be effective immediately, the order said. Accordingly, this redistribution of official duties is scheduled to take effect from Tuesday (September 17).

After the redistribution of responsibility. Mohsin Chowdhury has been given charge of Admin and Finance Department, Investment Management Department, Market Intelligence and Investigation Department, Market and Intermediaries Affairs Department and Annual Performance Contract Department.

Commissioner Md. Ali Akbar got charge of Law Department, Enforcement Department, ICT Department, National Integrity Strategy Department.

Farzana Lalarukh is in charge of Corporate Finance Department, Issuer Company Affairs Department, R&D Department, Chief Account Department, Derivatives Department and Sustainable Development Goals Department.

Commission Chairman Khandaker Rashid Maqsood will be in charge of Commission Secretariat Department, Financial Literacy Department and Internal Audit and Complaints Department.

Meanwhile, on September 11) BSEC Commissioner Dr. ATM Tarikuzzaman has been dismissed. Hence, he was not assigned any department. It is known that he will do routine office till December 10.
