As part of the actions of the Government of Chihuahua to improve mobility and safety for the population, Governor Maru Campos gave the green light to the new fleet of trucks of the Indio Bus system, which will provide free transportation service to students of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ).

Together with the rector Juan Ignacio Camargo and the rector-elect, Daniel Constandse, Campos handed over the new units at Ciudad Universitaria, in which a bipartite investment of more than 20 million pesos was made, which will benefit 7,200 students.

The addition of these vehicles is in addition to the 80 new trucks in the JuárezBus system, intended to improve passenger transportation services on the border, with an investment of more than 700 million pesos.

“The people of Juarez are strong and resilient. You are not our future, you are our present and I want to tell you that you are not alone. You have a State Government that supports you,” said the governor as she led a tour of the route.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, María José Bautista thanked Campos for her commitment to the University, since this fleet ensures that students can get to class without any setbacks.
