When we talk about natural actors, Amit Sial’s name also comes in that list, who has done commendable work in series like ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Maharani’ and ‘Jamtara’. The actor says that I can do comedy naturally and want to do a mature love story with it in future. He has lived his days of struggle with great joy and he considers it a process of becoming a complete human being. The star who always works with co-stars is this time seen in ‘Tikadam’ with children. He was in Lucknow recently. So know the highlights of a special conversation with him.

Natural acting requires hard work

Natural acting is difficult. It requires hard work. We know when and where to act because there is a camera around you and 100-200 people are also standing, which includes the crew, production team, cameraman and others. When you are acting, you have to forget what is around and what is not. In such a situation, all the attention is only on your character and scene. Then when you work continuously, you get used to such things. I try to be as natural in real life as I am on screen.

It was a process of making a complete human being.

Some things may trouble you, there may be disappointment of not getting work, but even at that time there is an excitement, a wave inside. At that time the thought remains that this time will also pass. I used to give auditions but did not get work. Sometimes I felt like leaving everything and running away, find some other work, now those days seem very lovely. I think that such things should happen in the beginning because there is a lot to learn from it. This whole process makes you a complete person.

I want different kinds of scripts to come to me. The kind of work I have been doing till now is also very popular. It has brought me fame. Right now I am inclined towards different kinds of films. Now I want to do comedy in future. However, I have done a film of this genre with Paresh Rawal ji. In ‘Raid-2’, this time also I have a comic character like last time. Apart from this, I also want to do horror and mature love stories. I want to do all the other common man roles.

‘Whatever you do, do it well’

Almost everyone does a part-time job. I also drove a taxi and washed dishes in Australia to survive and earn pocket money. You learn a lot from such things on a personal level. You learn the value of money, you learn how to survive alone. I believe that whatever you do, do it well. Wash dishes like the best person in the world.

‘The whole village became our family’

Amit Sial says that actually, I have no connection with the village. Yes, through this film I definitely got a chance to spend 30-40 days in a small village near Nainital. There are small houses from where beautiful fields are visible. Fresh air and green vegetables are available. The people there are very friendly. They helped us a lot in the shooting. In a way, the whole village became our set. They used to prepare food and bring it for us. The doors of their houses were always open for us, whether it was to rest or work, they all supported us in every way. Because of this, the whole village became like a family.

‘It hurts to be away from home’

One has to do the job to survive, whereas we are doing acting as a hobby. Yes, it is difficult to stay away from home. There are many people who get to meet their families only once or twice a year, whereas we go home whenever we get a break from work or feel like it. As far as working with kids is concerned, I have worked with them in advertisements before as well. There the work gets over in just a day or two. This time we all stayed together for 30-40 days. We mingled so much that they became my children. They are complete professionals who have done excellent work.
