Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi scored two goals and provided one assist on Saturday night in his return to the field, two months later, in Inter Miami’s home win over Philadelphia Union, 3-1.
In the North American championship (MLS) match, the visiting team scored in the very first minute, with Danish player Mikael Uhre, but Messi turned the game around still in the first half, with goals at the 26th and 30th minutes.
The Argentinian scored the first with his right foot, after an assist from Uruguayan Luis Suárez, and the second with his left foot, following yet another pass from Spaniard Jordi Alba.
In the second half, the team coached by ‘albiceleste’ Tata Martino only sealed the game in the final moments, at 90+8 minutes, with Suárez scoring his 17th goal in the competition, in 21 games, after an assist from Messi.
