Alice and Marco, the Colligian singers of Umberto Tozzi, at the Tim Music Awards. The interview after the performance: “It was immense, crazy”
Alice Spinelli and Marco Valacchi, the two Colligian singers working with Umberto Tozzi on the extended tour closing his career, stopped last night at the Arena di Verona. Guests of the Tim Music Awards broadcast on Rai Uno, hosted by Carlo Conti and Vanessa Incontrada, Alice and Marco were frequently shown during the performance. They impeccably accompanied Tozzi in iconic songs such as “Tu,” “Ti Amo,” “Gloria,” and “Stella stai.”
Interviewed before the start of the “Notte Rosa” tour, Alice stated: “The date that worries me the most could be the Arena di Verona with Music Award on TV, whose filming, on one hand makes me nervous, but on the other hand excites and intrigues me greatly.”
Last night, Alice and Marco were not intimidated, and after singing in St. Mark’s Square in Venice and at the Royal Palace of Caserta, they charismatically and joyfully graced the stage of the Arena di Verona, drawing the attention and compliments of their fellow Colligians.
Immediately after the performance, with their hearts racing, Alice and Marco shared: “We are recovering, it was a beautiful and emotional evening,” declares Alice.
“Unforgettable and full of gratification with so many wonderful people,” adds Marco.
“It was breathtaking, it was a dream for us to sing there and realizing it was an indescribable emotion, we still have adrenaline surging through us,” they continue.
“We want to thank all our friends, family who support us, and also Gazzetta di Siena who follows us.
“On Friday we sang at the Royal Palace of Caserta in front of three thousand people, it was beautiful, but tonight it was immense, crazy,” adds Alice.
“It will be a night full of beautiful dreams, we will go to bed tired but happy,” concludes Marco.
The “Notte Rosa” Tour is still long and will see the Colligian singers accompanying Umberto Tozzi across 4 continents. In Tuscany, we will see them on Friday, October 18, at the Mandela Forum in Florence.
