Today, Sunday, Jordan’s King Abdullah II appointed Jaafar Hassan to form the new government to succeed the government of Bishr Al-Khasawneh, who resigned earlier today.

The assignment of Jaafar Hassan to form the new government comes days after the parliamentary elections, on 10 September.
According to the official website of the Royal Court, the King sent a letter to Jaafar Hassan in which he expressed his desire for the Prime Minister-designate to complete his mission with “determination, firm will, work and effective implementation institutional, established. on the clear vision established by the paths of political, economic and administrative modernization in recent years.”
He added, “This requires an ambitious ministerial team that believes in the vision of modernization, with a level of competence, national responsibility, boldness, and perseverance in making decisions and finding solutions that serve citizens to overcome obstacles. The duties of the ministers must be clear and specific with measurable annual goals, subject to continuous monitoring and evaluation in accordance with the vision.” A comprehensive update.
Jaafar Hassan is a Jordanian politician and former minister, born in 1968. He has worked in a number of positions, including Minister of Planning and International Cooperation between 2009 and 2013, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Affairs of Economics in 2018, and is currently a Director. of the King’s Office.
