Claudia Sheinbaum explains why her attendance at the G20 summit in Brazil is in doubt

Claudia Sheinbaum left his attendance at the G20 summit in Brazilbut explained why it is still uncertain whether she will attend what would be her first international event as constitutional president of Mexico.

He explained that the two reasons why he would not go to the international summit would be because the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeiernotified that he wishes to make a official visit to Mexico around the same time.

And the second reason is that it coincides with the commemoration of November 20th for the beginning of the Mexican Revolution and his intention is to be in the country for said event.

Although he acknowledged that the dates would make it difficult for him to attend the G20, he stressed that he has not ruled it out yet, since it will take place in the “friendly government” of Brazil led by Lula da Silva, whom he considers his friend and who will attend his inauguration on October 1.

“The president of Germany called us because he wants to come to Mexico, he wants to make a visit and of course we said yes. And he is coming on November 20th, so obviously we have to be in Mexico.”
